Cultural Morocco Tour- 8 Days/7 Nights
Casablanca to Marrakech
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes - Fez
Upon your arrival or pick up you at your hotel in Casablanca. We will visit the Hassan II mosque, the landmark of Casablanca which is the only mosque open for non-Muslims. The Hassan II Mosque will be the first introduction of Moorish influences in Morocco. It is built by the king Hassan II between 1987-1993. Over 25 thousand worshipers can pray inside and 80 thousand worshipers pray outside in the big square of the mosque. We travel to Rabat visit some historical site like Chellah lovely spot In Rabat where you see a breathtaking combination of Roman and Merinid remains. You have the unfinished mosque Tower Hassan and the piece of art mausoleum Mohamed 5th to visit. After the tour of Rabat we move to the next city Meknes. It was buit by the sultan Moulay Ismael in 18th century, famous of beautiful gates, mosques and madrasas. Overnight in your riad in Fez include bed and breakfast.
Day 2: Guided Tour Of Fes
After breakfast you will begin your guided tour of the medina, one of the world’s largest walled in cities. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. A visit to the Kings Palace, the tanneries, and potters are just a few places you will experience. For lunch you will eat in traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. After lunch you will complete the tour and return to your hotel for the evening. Bed ad breakfast.
Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Middle Atlas – Merzouga Desert
We are going to leave the medieval city of Fes and head towards the southern part of Morocco. Crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains .We stop for a short break in Ifran or the small Switzerland where is the first ski resort in Morocco. We will be surrounded by amazing sceneries and landscapes of mountains and plains. A special species of native monkeys living in cedar woods, over 30 members in one family called Maggot monkeys in Azrou. We will have lunch break in Midelt, it celebrates the festival of apples every years. There is a big contrast of landscapes especially when we drive through Ziz valley to get us to Arfoud ,the gate of the sahara, to Merzouga Desert. Check in to your hotel overlooking the Dunes and including dinner, bed, and breakfast.
4th day: Merzouga Area - Camel Trek
In the morning after breakfast your excursion will start from the hotel taking you through the sand-sea dunes near the Algerian border where you can have the chance to take photos and see the black volcanic rock, also you may meet a nomad families and see their nomadic lifestyle. Next you will pass close to tiny Berber villages like Tamrdanite before you reach Khamlia. In Khamlia (very little village in desert) you will enjoy moments of spiritual Gnawa music that is played with black people whom are the inhabitants of this village. In our way to the hotel you will be enchanted with the view of the lake of Ait Sareji (especially In springtime) which attracts pink flamingos and many others birds. Back to the hotel for rest and getting ready for an adventure (camel trekking) in the heart of the desert .while heading to the bivouac, you will see the spectacular sunset through the dunes. You will enjoy Berber food, listening to the drums in a starry night and sleeping in a traditional tent (camel hair tent) in calmness and tranquility.
Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
The camel man (trekker) will wake you up in dawn to see the spectacular sunrise in the desert, later you will return to the camp to have your breakfast. after the camel man take you back to the Auberge to have shower to refresh your body .we drive to Rissani through the Ksours and kasbahs of Tafilalet . Visiting the Zaouia of moulay Ali El-Charif, the mausoleum of the dynasty Glaoui founder, and have walk to discover the local market and traditoinal souks in Rissani. After that we drive via Tinghir passing by Arfoud and Tinjdad where you will have lunch then continue toward Tinghir where you can have walk between the gorgeous oasis palm trees. You will spend the night in a Kasbah.Dinner, bed, and breakfast included.
Day 6: Dades - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou -Tizi N’tichka Pass - Marrakech
This morning after breakfast in the hotel, We depart to Ouarzazate via Skoura. Stopping for a panoramic view of the kasbah of Taourirt then another photo stop near the atlas film studios. After that you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the village. In the Afternoon we will drive to Marrakech over the mountains of high Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Overnight in your riad in Marrakech includes bed and breakfast.
Day 7: Marrakech Guided Tour
On this day, after breakfast you will have full day tour to discover Marrakech. By Immersing yourself in the red city and During your tour you will have Lunch in the Medina, you will visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Marrakech such as the 19th century Bahia Palace,the 16th century Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque ,the Majorelle Garden. You will also visit the famous Souks where the merchants sell everything from leather, carpets, cloths, spices, kaftans... Overnight in your riad include bed and breakfast.
8th day: Departure.
After breakfast and depending on your departure time, we will transfer you to the airport where our service ends.

My husband and I booked 5 days and 4 nights with Atlas. Our driver Mohammed was wonderful, safe driver who instilled a lot of confidence in me. Our guide Mbark was incredible, filling our days with beautiful sights, incredible history, and great stories. His knowledge of Morocco is a gift to tourists. He does a great job of breaking the day up with stops for the bathroom, food/beverage, and shopping. We were incredibly impressed with the choice of nightly accommodations. We were comfortable, well-fed, and surrounded by the beauty of Morocco. "Camping" (an incredible luxury with indoor plumbing) in the Sahara was so memorable. Do not miss!
We will absolutely be back to Morocco, and when we do, Atlas will be our first call.

We took a 6 day, 5 night trip to Morocco using Atlas Desert Tours for our booking. Said was extremely helpful in organizing the trip and made a great itinerary for us! Our guide (Hamid) and driver (Mohammed) were absolutely wonderful! They made sure wet got to see all of the highlights during our quick trip and accommodated our requests along the way. Snow on the mountain pass on one of the days delayed our travel but they still made sure we made it to the desert by sunset! The local guides in Fes and Marrakech were so knowledgeable as well. The luxury desert camp, which is fairly new, surpassed my expectations. Overall, I would highly recommend this trip. The only suggestion I have is to stay longer than we did!
