Essaouira Day Trip from Marrakech; land of Argan oil, goats, and the beach.

Pick up from your riad or hotel inMarrakech and head towards Essaouira, “Mogador”. On the way, you will see herds of goats climbing the Argan trees looking for food that they can’t find on the ground. You also have the opportunity to visit the women's co-operative of Argan oil where they extract the oil that is famous for its culinary, cosmetic and medical use.

Once you arrive to Essaouira which is only two hours driving from Marrakech, you will start touring the highlights of the city including a visit to the Skala Fortress, Thuya wood carved by artisans, walk through the alleys of the medina, where you can see hundreds of handicrafts.

Essaouira was occupied by the Portuguese which affects much of its architecture - however, it remains a small beautiful town with much history. Because of its size and its characteristic blue doors, washed walls and location, it is also regarded as Morocco’s “Jewel of the Atlantic”.

Your visit includes the Mellah - the Jewish headquarter, and the beach.

If you prefer, today you can have fresh fish cooked in a very authentic Moroccan way lunch in a Moroccan way. After that, you will have some free time to feel and take in the city before we drive you back to Marrakech where the tour ends.

The cost is Euros 90/person for a private tour minimum 2 people. Euros 60/person for a group of 4 people. Euros 160 for solo traveller.
